Restaurante El Marino

We stopped here for lunch and the location makes it a convenient option if you’re already in the area. It’s right along the road leading down to the beach, so it’s easy to find. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and service was pleasant throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food itself was a bit mediocre and didn’t stand out compared to other places we tried during our time in Guanacaste. It’s a decent stop if you’re nearby and want something quick and casual, but there are stronger dining options in the area if food quality is your main priority.

If you do not care about good tasting food then this is the place for you. The food was so bad that Im still here writing this waiting for my bill. Waitress offered us water about half an hour ago. Ya it’s not coming. We had the burgers in order to play it safe. Well it was bad. Very dry. No tomato and lettuce. No mustard available. And lastly when you’re eating outside in the heat a cold drink is always preferred. I ordered a coke. They brought a glass with 3 or 4 ice cubes in it. Been here in Costa Rica for 14 days. Ate out at least twice a day. This has been the worst food we’ve had. Avoid it like covid.

We stopped here during our stay in La Playa Hermosa for a quick bite to eat and were thoroughly pleased with the pizza and service. The options are limited, but the pizza they did offer was tasty and prices were fair. With this, the staff were attentive and friendly, and were very patient with us while we tried to communicate and practice our Spanish. Overall, would recommend if you are looking for quick pizza/food before visiting the beach or touring the area. 😊
