A bar just off the beach path in Playa Hermosa run by a local couple, Edgar and Lorna, who pull you into friendly conversation and remember you by the next day. The smash burgers and real chicken fingers get named constantly, along with cold cocktails, piña coladas, and a homemade chiliguaro shot people swear by. Reasonable prices, great playlists — an easy place to slow down on your way to or from the sand.

A little off the beach path not far. Check google maps out. But very good eats at a good price. Drinks were booze. Drop by check it out. Say Edgar and Lorna plus a wonderful gentleman staff sorry didn't get his name . Best burger and real chicken fingers. We will be repeat customers.
We visited Costa Rica for the first time in early November of this year. On day 3 of our trip, we met Edgar at Slow Down. He was kind, offered us burgers and gave us drinks. The guys got beers and he made me the best vodka water lime of all time! The next day we returned for drinks and met his wife Lorna. For the next week, we visited daily for drinks and friendly conversation. One day we all got smashburgers and Lorna knew what she was doing! They were delicious. We ordered the tall drinks with long Island iced teas, and several eounds of beers. We had so much fun here and appreciate Edgar, Lorna and their business greatly! 20/10 recommend this place!
Their Smash Burgers were absolutely delicious! Cold drinks for adults and kids alike. Highly recommend them! Small business owned by local couple, very friendly, spoke English as well. Lorna and Edgar were a pleasure to visit with. Don't skip or miss them on your way to or from the beach! Pura Vida!!
