A small, long-standing Chinese spot downtown where regulars come for the daily specials and the dry-fried standbys - the saofan seco con lomo and chopsuey seco get singled out, and the prices stay gentle. There's a fish pond in the decor that people remember. Reviews aren't unanimous on consistency, so order the house specials and you're on safer ground.

One of the worst meals I’ve had in my life— 2 if the dishes were practically inedible (veggie medley, and veg chop suey, both drowned in a brown glop, bad quality noodles); the shrimp in garlic sauce was more edible. This is not a Chinese restaurant by any stretch of the imagination. Best to avoid.
They had good daily specials and the food quality was good. I loved the decor, especially the fish pond. Bathrooms were clean. My only real criticism is that sauces and toothpick dispensers are possible modes of spread of COVID, but the use of those us up to the discretion of each patron. We paid about 20,000 colones for our party of four including drinks, appetizer, and dessert.
This small Chinese restaurant (nuevo mundo) has one of the best saofan seco con lomo, y chopsuey seco in town, the sauce, and meat are delicious.
