About
A big, hearty spot on one of San Jose's main streets serving Costa Rican and Mexican plates - the chiliguaro is done right, the baleada catracha comes huge, and the patacones with guacamole get singled out. Ask for the green salsa. Prices are good and they take cards, though the open-front room sits right on the noisy street and service can slow when it's just one server.

Went twice as a group. Food is very good. Plenty of options available including Mecican and local typical meals. Chiliguaro is done very well too here.
This place captures the essence of all the gastronomic options it offers. Great taste, great prices. It's also a great location, although a bit noisy. The service is great, too. A must visit if you're looking for something hearty and authentic.
The food was absolutely amazing. The super baleda catracha was huge, tasty, and filling. I also had patacones with guacamole, which was superb. I ordered a pineapple smoothie but ended up with a strawberry smoothie. I didn’t object and assume it was made by mistake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The biggest downside was that there was only one waitress and I waited about little else than 10 minutes to place an order.
