About
The main bus terminal for Costa Rica's Caribbean side and the usual jumping-off point for Tortuguero — buy your ticket here and they'll route you via Cariari and La Pavona to the boat. Destinations are clearly posted, ticketing is straightforward, and there are food stalls and a small shopping plaza inside. Staff speak limited English, so bring some Spanish or a translation app; the surrounding area is busy and loud.

The main bus terminal in the city of San Jose. This is the hub of transport to all the different towns in Costa Rica. The people that work here don't really speak English so make sure you learn a bit of Spanish or use Google Translate. Busses are clearly indicated with their destinations. Your ticket will be scanned by the driver when you board the bus. My ticket has a numbered seat but I'm not sure all other destinations have the same system.
Safe, clean, and well organized terminal. Buying tickets is easy. Food inside is good too.
This is a bus terminal, however, it has a small shopping plaza, with interesting things to buy a really nice prices. I will recommend the first big store when you come in a got some stuff as gift from CR .
