About
A family-run San Jose institution serving traditional Costa Rican food off a steam table - rice and stew, chicken and rice, several fish, fresh salads and desserts, with sweet tea that gets its own mention. It's economical, beloved by the local lunch crowd, and the line can grow long. Note the hours: weekday lunchtime, and that's it, so plan around it.

Great selection of food in a place that you would hardly realize is a restaurant. The food was delicious from rice and stew, chicken and rice, several different kinds of fish, a variety of salads, and desserts. 100% recommend this place. The sweet tea was very good too! A plus one of the ladies speaks English very well and is very friendly!! The line can get a bit long and they're only open for a long lunch time so plan your visit.
Good quality food and fast service.
I was lucky to find this great economical restaurant by the number of locals in line waiting to enter. It is truly a local family operated treasure. Open weekdays evidently to serve the lunch crowd from area businesses. On offer each day is a wonderful assortment of delicious mains and sides. The delightful friendly family takes great pride in their food and are proud to have been in business for a very long time. Proven a wonderful choice by loyal customers. You will be rewarded by making this YOUR CHOICE! Enjoy
