About
A long-standing San José Lebanese restaurant regulars call authentic and excellent, with a beautiful room, live music, and even a dancer some nights. The lamb rack draws comparisons to Lebanon itself, and the falafel, shawarma and arroz Lubnan are favorites. Service and ambience are consistently praised; card payment is accepted.

I’ve ordered food from here 4-5 times. We love the arroz Lubnan, although the portion has gotten smaller. I don’t know what happened to the pinchos de lomito. The first time I had them, I thought they were delicious. But today, the meat was rubbery (although tender) and tasted like teriyaki. The texture reminds me of packaged beef jerky (soft but jelly-like). It’s a big portion but seems low quality to me. We also didn’t enjoy the cucumber yogurt “salad,” which was more like a sauce, or the baba ghanoush.
Lubnan made me fall in love with Lebanese cuisine when I moved to Costa Rica in 2008. I have eaten there at least 8 times since then. The food remains authentic and excellent; the ambience, music and service are exceptional. Lubnan serves the best lamb rack I have had outside Lebanon, and the tastiest falafels I’ve ever eaten anywhere. Mumtaz!
What a gem! We feel so lucky to have discovered this amazing restaurant. The food was delicious and all the staff were friendly, kind and helpful. The atmosphere is beautiful and to top it off there was an incredible dancer. I wish I could give 10 stars! We will be back and highly recommend!
