About
A colorful little San José coffee shop and a regular stop on the city's food and walking tours, where welcoming owners like Eric genuinely look after you. The Peaberry coffee gets rave reviews — good enough that black-coffee skeptics drink it without cream — and they sell beans, coffee products and gifts. Quiet, and sometimes open mainly for tours.

Stopped by here as part of a cool Food & Bites Walking Tour. We had coffee and empanadas, tamales and a tortilla. All was ok. I liked the coffee. It’s a quiet place - nobody else was there. I probably wouldn’t have stopped by myself. Okay.
Cute and colourful coffee shop, where you can enjoy a great selection of coffee and snacks. They also sell a variety of coffee products and souvenirs. When I arrived the upstairs was closed because they were hosting an event. But Eric kindly gave me a guided tour of the premises, which he didn’t need to do, but I thought was a lovely gesture. I ordered a latte and a bun. The latte was divine, and the bun was massive - I struggled to finish it, but I persevered! Very welcoming coffee shop, with the loveliest people, and the most gorgeous coffee.
Went to Mr. Sloth at the end of a Bites and Sites tour of San Jose. This place is so lovely! The owners are kind and welcoming, and even welcomed me back in when I returned, not knowing it was not open except for tours! Their Peaberry coffee is divine! I normally require cream, but drank it black. So good! I purchased several bags and also some of their gift options.
