About
A local Lebanese-Mediterranean restaurant in San José where a welcoming owner looks after guests and the kitchen accommodates vegetarians with ease. Everything arrives fresh and generous — the pollo wrap, fattoush, falafel, shawarma and kebbe all draw praise, with the beef shawarma singled out for flavor. Balanced, carefully cooked food at reasonable prices.

We dined at this local Mediterranean spot and had a great experience. The owner made us feel very welcome and was attentive to our vegetarian preferences. Everything was freshly prepared and served hot. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and prices were very reasonable. One small note—while the chicken wrap was flavorful, the portion of chicken was a bit light for the size of the wrap. That said, everything else was outstanding. A must-visit local small business—highly recommended.
What impressed me wasn’t just that everything tasted good. Every flavor seemed to know why it was there. The spices didn’t compete. The textures didn’t argue. Nothing was trying to be clever for attention. The food wasn’t trying to impress me. It just did. The food didn’t feel “extra.” It felt more itself. If ordinary good food is food, this was food squared. Not louder, not heavier, not showier. Just more purely what it already was. What it is supposed to be. 5 stars for O' Libano. Fresh, rich, beautifully balanced food that reminds you what happens when people actually understand and care about what they’re cooking.
The food was really delicious. It was a Sunday and we were the only patrons, which might explain why it took a while for the food to come but everything was fresh. I had a pollo wrap that was large and filling with tasty meat, sharp onions, fresh veggies, and potatoes.
