About
A San José coffee spot travelers turn into their daily go-to, run by owners who make the treats themselves and genuinely talk with you. The specialty coffee, cappuccino and matcha latte all get top marks, and the raspberry cheesecake, along with the raspberry cheesecake cookie, alfajores and peanut butter cookies, are the sweets people rave about. There's even a gluten-friendly cake worth trying.

Pardo Café in San Jose is a gem for coffee lovers. The cappuccino was excellent, rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, and the coffee overall is top-notch (I tried another one). I was especially impressed by the gluten-friendly cake, which was absolutely amazing and didn’t feel like a compromise at all. What really sets this place apart, though, is the experience: I had a great travel-related conversation with the owner, which made the visit feel warm and personal. If you’re looking for outstanding coffee and genuinely great conversation, Pardo Café is highly recommended.
We were only in town for a few days, but this spot quickly became our daily go-to. The specialty coffee and matcha are exceptional, and the pastries are top-tier—the raspberry cheesecake cookie is a must-try! Beyond the menu, the owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. If you’re looking for great vibes and high-quality drinks, I can’t recommend this place enough!
This has turned into one of my favorite coffee shops of all times. The workers there are phenomenal - amazing hospitality. Also, one of the best matcha lattes I have ever tasted. The vibe I’m there is so welcoming. I have stayed here to work from my laptop for hours and have seen first-hand the community that they have created. Such a beautiful and well-crafted business.
