Small bar on 3rd floor. Open walls to street below is unique and nice. Modest selection of draft, craft beers. I was disappointed in the draft beer....Many TVs showing US sports.

We ended up at Pub Piso 3 after spending the morning at Cafe Otoya and a few solid hours exploring the National Museum of Costa Rica. After the museum, we just started wandering with no real plan. Staying mostly on the main roads, people watching, and seeing where the day took us. That is usually when we find the most interesting spots. We were looking for somewhere above street level to grab a drink and take in the city, and Pub Piso 3 fit that perfectly. It is an upstairs bar and restaurant with a gastropub feel, and we lucked out with a table that looked straight down onto the road. Prime people watching. We were not hungry at that point, so we settled in for a couple of drinks and enjoyed the view. The drink selection was solid. There was a good lineup of Costa Rica craft beer, which is always a win for me, and I ordered one of my go to local brews. Anna went with a sangria and was happy with her choice. We did not eat here, but from what we saw, the food leaned more toward classic bar fare with a lot of deep fried options. Nothing bad, just not what we were in the mood for that day. We stayed for two drinks, soaked up the city energy, and then called an Uber back to our Airbnb in Sabana in time for sunset. It was an easy and relaxed stop that fit nicely into the flow of the day. Pub Piso 3 is not a must visit spot in San José, but if you are already in the area and want a drink with a good street level view, it is a solid option. We would stop back again for a drink if we found ourselves nearby. I went there for lunch. I didn’t really like the food but the workers were very nice and it was a good vibe. I’d like to see how it is at night.
