Diners who grew up on Chinese food vouch for Bai Ji as the real thing: Chinese BBQ done right, with duck and ribs called perfectly delicious and portions so generous the rice piles up. The brown-sugar boba tea earns its own fans, and service is fast if minimal. A busy, clean spot that surprises people with authentic flavor in San José.

Having grown up with Chinese food, my wife and I both know what authentic is. This is authentic Chinese! A little disappointed that the Chinese people behind the counter didn't come say hi, since we were the only Asians in this very busy restaurant. But they were very busy too, and the food was served quickly for us and all tables I could see. Portions are generous too. Boba tea was very good as well. Service was minimal, which is also authentically Chinese 😆 If we lived here we'd visit regularly!
Wonderful place to get some Chinese BBQ food with large portions (too much rice and meat—more veggies please!) There is a smoothie place as well inside. Fast service
I went twice during my trip, both the duck and the ribs were perfectly delicious. The brown sugar boba was great as well, not too sweet.
