About
The restaurant of Hotel Balmoral, right in San José's historic district, with an ambiance guests consistently love, a graceful room for dinner after the National Museum. Standouts include chips and guacamole and the Argentine churrasco, and servers like Pablo and Karla drew warm praise. Service is the variable: some found it slow, and breakfast is limited to a handful of options.

We had breakfast here as a part of staying in Hotel Balmoral. We had breakfast around 8:30 AM. It was not crowded at all. We were immediately attended to and were seated. There are only 4 options for breakfast- Typical breakfast, omelette, pan cakes and yoghurt with fruits and granola with juice and coffee. The ambience was amazing. For the previous night dinner we looked around historic district and this was the nicest restaurant option for dinner. Highly recommend for dinner.
Eight of us just ate at the restaurant today about 4 pm. It was absolutely delicious. We started with chips and guacamole. That was fantastic! My dish was Argentine Churrasco with fries and vegetables as my sides. I ate it all up. It was so delicious! Everyone was happy with their dishes. It had a wonderful atmosphere and very good kind service.
I visited the restaurant while a guest in the hotel. I only ordered items on the free breakfast menu but was pleased. I forgot tips were already included and left one but no loss.
