A chef-owned Peruvian restaurant near Sabana park that regulars swear feels 'like eating in Lima.' The ceviche, tiradito, seafood soup and octopus dishes (pulpo al ajillo) come up again and again, washed down with tamarindo, at fair family-run prices. We had an amazing time, and are so happy we found this restaurant! We were looking for somewhere to eat on a beautiful Sunday evening while staying in San José. We found this restaurant and had an amazing dinner. The only other aspect of our evening that rivaled the food was the extremely generous attention our host/server gave us. There was a slight language barrier but that did not stop him from helping us discover new dishes and drinks! Phenomenal food - extremely fair prices. Unparalleled service. If you’re visiting San José - take an evening to walk around the park and visit this restaurant!

Continuing my quest for Peruvian restaurants in Costa Rica. This is by far my fav! Owned by the chef, he also takes your order when it gets too busy. Food is fresh, the recipes are classic Peruvian dishes. It's like eating in Lima! Affordable prices, great value per money.
