A locals' favorite where the portions are almost comically generous, people routinely take half home. Point through the glass at what you want: gallo pinto with fried plantains for breakfast, or the Gallo Pinto con pollo y chimichurri that regulars single out. Casados run cheap, the coffee's smooth, and the staff are warm. Great value, hearty plates.

On the Tico side of places. Food is good, portions are over generous. it wouldn’t hurt if it was a bit cleaner in appearance. It seems like quite a few tables of regulars where there families, friends group.
Amazing! Delicious food and portions are huge. We were not able to eat it all and had to have it to go. The price is very good, paid 2800 colones. Highly recommend!
We were looking for a place to have a local breakfast on a Sunday morning when most places were closed. Delighted to find this place which was busy with local customers. You can see the food options through the glass and just point to what you want. We both had gallo pinto with fried plantains; I had an egg and fried cheese with mine and my husband had a slice of ham. Coffee (very smooth!) or mango juice included. Only 3800 colones for us both which was a great value! As we observed other customers, we noted that you could have a tortilla or scrambled eggs. Ask for what you want!
