Bahia Selvatica Lodge

This lodge is beautiful and brand new, only been open a few months. We were there for 11 days. Carolin was super, answered all our questions and so kind. Negatives: There is no reception at the present time, but she guides you through the process of booking and entering the gated facility. There are no bar facilities although they are waiting for the liquor license (Feb 11?). They say on the website “each morning, we invite you to join us for a homemade breakfast”, that is incorrect, you get your groceries at the supermarket on the corner, make your own breakfast. Hot tub is not hot, pool is lovely but doesn’t get cleaned from leaves and dirt very often. Positives: rooms are nice, always kept clean but a little stingy on the TP. They prefer to clean room about every 4-5 day or more. They have a lovely seating area with a full bbq cooking area, fully stocked with dishes. We feel they opened too soon, should have had everything in place before opening. Two restaurants, one across the street and another down the street. Super food. Conclusion: will possibly be back.

Whether you're staying in or heading out for an adventure, it's the perfect base.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Uvita, this IS the spot. We wrapped up a 6 week tour of Costa Rica with a 3 night stay here. Perfect place to relax by the pool, great walking distance to the beach, a quick uber ride in to the town of Uvita as well. The room was secure, the building is brand new and so spotless! The appliances for cooking are in good condition and the housekeeping cleans everything every morning. There is access to a propane stove and grill. You are supplied coffee in your room, along with a microwave, and mini fridge. Shower pressure is fantastic and water is hot! This is also the first place we have stayed where they had both thick and thin pillows (my neck thanks you!) There is a water dispenser outside by the bar area. They are currently in the process of trying to open up the tiki bar, and when they do it will no doubt be fantastic. You can tell what kind of environment staff is trying to create here, and we will undoubtedly stay again when we are back on this side of the world.
