About
A whale-watching outfit reviewers call efficient and professional, with guides like Keller who fold in marine-conservation lessons and a captain willing to stay out longer than other boats to make sure you see a humpback up close. Snacks and drinks come with the roughly three-hour trip, and the crew is repeatedly praised for respecting the animals. Sightings aren't guaranteed, but most groups leave having seen whales or dolphins.

We had a great time whale watching with Ballena Aventura. We were three adults and one child and we all enjoyed the tour. The Guido was very knowledgeable, he told us a lot about the national park and the whales. The whole team worked well together and in the free swimming time we also had a chat with the captain that told us even more details about the wild life in the park. Unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins and because of the rain the evening before the visibility was too low for snorkling. But we did swim at a very nice spot and most importantly we did see the whales, they were swimming in a pod and it was simply breathtaking, to see these gentle giant coming up for the air. It was definitely the experience worth it's money.
Last week I had the opportunity to take a tour with this wonderful and well-organized company, and it was fantastic. Our guide, Keller, was impressive with his knowledge, always patient with the clients, and taught us a lot about marine conservation and how much the tour operators strive to ensure everything is organized with respect for the cetaceans. The only point that disappointed me was that while the guide was speaking, the sailor Fabian was talking to the captain Jorky. Although the guide asked them to be quiet, only the captain remained silent, but the sailor continued talking to him, making it difficult for the guide to communicate with the group. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, but the fact that the young man ignored a polite request makes me question the staff.
Super, super, super! Excellent whale watching company. Super efficient and proffesional. Super informative. Super customer-focused on giving the customer the best experience. Our boat stayed out longer than any other boat to ensure that we saw at close quarters a humpback whale. We saw a few early on and bull nosed dolphins but the highlight of the trip was seeing a large male humpback who thrashed his tail into the water about twenty times - absolutely fantastic. These guys totally respect the sea's creatures and know where to find them to give their customers the best experience. The best excursion I have done in Costa Rica. Don't miss it!
