The cashiers move as slowly as humanly possible and take great joy in watching the line of tourists build up. I waited half an hour just to exchange dollars for colones, then they let some lady cut right to the front of the line ahead of me. Avoid this place if possible.

ATM would not work to withdraw USD. Card is read, transaction starts but cant be finished. We tried with 3 different VISA Cards and it wouldn't work.

People were very kind even though I don't speak English. Helped me set up a business account. Budget plenty of time, however, it's not a fast process.
