Chef Lupita's women-led kitchen in Uvita does something unusual, working as much a private-chef service as a restaurant, cooking clean, largely oil-free BBQ-style dishes with local flavors and a twist. The aguachile with shrimp gets called the best diners have had, and the smoky coconut flan, camarones con arroz, and even a standout steak come up again and again. Reservations matter, since they are generally closed after 5.

We were lucky enough to have Chef Lupita prepare 3 wonderful meals for us while visiting Uvita. The Women Private chef family was wonderful from start to finish. We enjoyed the delicious food and getting to watch them prepare our meals was a plus! The aguachile with shrimp was the best we have had and the smoky coconut flan so good! Hope to come back and visit again and enjoy more food from Casa Ru_u!

Chef Lupita is AMAZING!! we used her private chef services at our airbnb and I could not have been more impressed. Chef Lupita and her assist ( I believe Kat) were so kind and not to mention, cooked me the best steak I have EVER had. I could not recommend them enough. Thank you for the delicious meal!!
