Waterfall rappelling deep in the jungle, run by Carlos and his brothers — reviewers note they were the first to offer this locally, roughly fifteen years ago, and it shows in how safe it feels. You start on small falls and work up to the big ones, get thoroughly soaked, and finish with a Costa Rican meal and fresh pineapple juice while they airdrop the 100-plus photos they shot. Kid-friendly, but the access road in is long and bumpy.

10/10 recommend!! This was such an awesome way to experience the Costa Rican jungle. Our guide was so much fun, and made us feel safe but also empowered to embrace a little adventure. The first few rappels are definitely a little scary, but if you have any rock climbing experience, you'll be totally fine! Keep in mind that you will, in fact, get absolutely soaking wet so come prepared for that. A must-do while you're in the area!
Our whole family enjoyed the canyoning/waterfall rappelling adventure, and it was especially thrilling for my 12-year-old daughter. My husband, appreciated the majority of the tour being in the shade along with the refreshing waterfalls. I enjoyed being out in nature with the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Carlos and Alex were awesome guides who kept us moving and safe. The tour was the perfect length of time, ending with a delicious group Costa Rican meal. Really enjoyed this, and would highly recommend!
Carlos was the best tour guide I’ve ever had. Him and his brothers were the first to offer this to the public 15 years ago and it shows. I felt incredibly safe and it was the most fun I’ve had in Costa Rica. The lunch was amazing as well. Carlos - thanks for everything!
