Super nice location with a great vibe overall. The cabine was really cute and the facilities were good. The cold shower might surprise some people, but with the warm weather it’s actually pretty refreshing. The restaurant is good as well and the kitchen is well equipped, so overall the place has a lot going for it. Unfortunately, the staff experience really took away from the vibe. The girls behind the bar rolled their eyes when we came to order something, which felt quite unfriendly. At one point the cleaning lady literally shouted at us when we walked into the kitchen while she was cleaning, and she generally walked around quite aggressively. It’s a shame, because the place itself is really nice, but the attitude of the staff kind of ruins the atmosphere. 🙂

This was the perfect place for our student group. We brought 24 college students to Flutterby. It's funky and rustic and exceeded our expectations. The food was surprisingly good and the bar was full service with really good drinks. The staff had a great vibe and took care of our needy gringos very well. We felt at home. Another awesome thing was being in walking distance of the beach.

We had a private cabin, which had everything we needed and was super affordable. It definitely felt like a basic place though, for instance when it rained hard we had a lot of water leaking through the roof in different spots. We were hoping it was going to have a friendly, social atmosphere and that we’d be able to get some recommendations of what to do in the area, but it didn’t really have that feeling. Instead it was really quiet and the people working there didn’t seem interested in chatting. That might have been due to us staying midweek before the start of the dry season. It’s super close to the beach though, we walked there every day for the sunset. That was worth the stay alone!
