Increased price by 13% then wanted extra 3% on top to pay with card. Don't go here. It's under reconstruction. Only one room had aircon and tried putting me in ròm with none even tho I had paid for it. Dirty bathroom toilet bin overflowing for two days not cleaned for some time.. makeshift outside kitchen. Location OK for shops and tours. Would I Stay again...NO NO NO
Rented a 4 bed dorm and got put in a six bed dorm. The owner tried to charge me more than what my reservation was stating I owed. She wasn’t very friendly. It state there is air conditioning, however, the unit doesn’t work. Even if it did, it wouldn’t matter because all the windows don’t close. You don’t get keys to your dorm it stays unlocked. There’s no lockers to store valuables. Each time you flush the toilet you have to open the top of the toilet and put the stopper down or the water just keeps running. The water here is ice cold. The entrance was a disaster, clothes pilled everywhere, medal and wood laying in the walk way to get to the hostel we were in. We were so disappointed that we moved on from Uvita earlier than planned. I would give 0 stars if that was an option.
These cabinas are under new management with the sweetest of Tico families...my room was super clean and the cabins set on a quiet gravel road in a pretty garden just steps from shops, the main Bahia bakery and a short walk to the beach. I work online and found the WIFI strong and stable, and the open air kitchen and dining space a cool place to work in. I loved sitting with a coffee in the morning sunrise watching the amazing variety of birds that lived in the garden and felt safe and cared for. This is definitely my new 'go to' in Uvita. THANKS AGAIN for the PURA VIDA good vibes!
