About
A casual, open-air spot next to the BM supermarket, handy for a beach-day meal. The pina colada draws repeat raves as super creamy, and travelers point to the nachos, the fajitas, and the chicken-rice plate with its side salad and fries. Staff speak English and are friendly. Fair warning: reviewers repeatedly describe slow service, so order everything at once.

We had a great experience at Marino Ballena in Uvita We ordered the nachos a wrap and the fajitas and everything came out fresh and full of flavor The portions were generous and the presentation was really nice The standout was definitely the piña colada super creamy and delicious one of the best we’ve had on our trip The setting was casual and comfortable and the service was kind and attentive Would definitely come back next time we’re in town
Food was ok. All open-air which is nice. It is very close to the main road and parking of the supermarket, which makes it a noisy place. OK for y quick bite, not ideal for a romantic outing...
Had the ribs they were dry and salty, not smothered in sauce as the menu describes them. After I scraped all of the fat away there wasn't much meat left. Not that there was much there to begin with, it was three short ribs. It is not often that I will leave a restaurant still hungry, proportions of the meat and the salad were very poor, there was no shortage of plain white rice though. The service was not any better. The server was very distracted and seemed like she had other things to do than serve customers. Not a good value for the money. I will not eat here again.
