About
The Walmart-owned supermarket for Uvita, air-conditioned and stocked deep with competitive prices, where travelers found everything from groceries to beach chairs and household basics. One honest caution runs through recent reviews: car break-ins in the parking lot, where thieves reportedly block your key fob, so don't leave valuables in the vehicle and make sure it's locked.

The store is fine. But several robberies in their “secure” parking lot. Thieves prevent your car fob from locking your doors, thus leaving your car open and able to be robbed. Security is present outside the store. But it continues to happen - maybe accomplices in the scheme.
This is the Walmart for Costa Rica. They operate almost exactly like Walmart. They have cheap prices, lots of Inventory, a little sketchy area with plenty of parking. However, they had almost everything we needed including beach chairs and some house hold items for our stay. So overall would recommend going if you need more than a handful of grocery items.
Robberies happening in all over Uvita currently 01.02.2026 - they intercept the signal when you lock your car and get in when you are not around to get what they can. Maxi Pali and BM parking lots are the hot spots.
