A long-established surf school where owner Miguel and instructor Stuart get named over and over for patient, professional lessons that stand out even in a town full of surf schools. Families praise how good they are with kids, the free parking and chairs, and the fruit-platter-and-coconut break mid-session. Small-ratio or one-on-one lessons balance theory and water time — beginners leave standing up and smiling. They even make their own natural sunscreen.

Had an amazing experience here! I’ve always wanted to learn to surf and made it happen here. Miguel was a fantastic teacher. Helped with all my needs and was very patient and taught me all the techniques in a way that was easy to learn. They also sell a fantastic face sunscreen!! All natural and effective. Can not recommend pacific coast and especially Miguel enough! Thanks, Joe
The first surfing lesson was great! It was done in a very professional way with a really good balance between theory and practice. The instructors adjusted the lesson to the level of the participants and to what we needed, which made learning easy and fun. We also felt very safe during the lesson — we knew we were in good hands. Thanks for two fantastic hours on the water. Miguel and Stuart — we really appreciate it!
We had a great experience with pacific coast Surf school, they were great at communicating the best time for the perfect surf conditions, met us, showed us where to park for free, set us up with chairs, excellent teachers , we had 1 on 1 lessons, a short break with a huge fruit plater and pipa then back at it. Professional, fun and I highly recommend this company
