About
The first pizzeria in Uvita and still family-run, La Fogata turns out pizza some travelers rank the best they had in Costa Rica — the Barbacoa and Pizza Mexicana among the favorites, served with a fresh garlic-and-chili oil on the side. The pastas draw praise too, and prices stay fair. Quick, friendly, and a genuine local institution.

Cute place and really good pizza, best I've had in Costa Rica! Had the pizza Mexicana. Loved the extra condiments on the side and the medium size is very big. The only remark I have is that the toppings of vegetables were very little. The meat was fine, but bell peppers and onions were hardly there.
The staff is very friendly and the place is decorated nicely. The food was prepared very quickly and it was all very fresh. The pizza was delicious and comes with a fresh garlic and chili oil that you can add to it as well as some extra cheese. The grilled chicken was on point and the beans super nice. The rice is a buttery rice which isn't to everyone's taste but the veggies are super good too. I highly recommend coming here - also, the prize for the food is really fair.
After a few disappointing food experiences in Costa Rica, I decided to flip the script and leave a super positive review where it’s truly deserved — La Fogata in Uvita. The pizzas are unbelievably good. My favourite was the Barbacoa — absolutely outstanding. The pastas are fantastic as well, clearly made with care and quality ingredients. On top of the food, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a proper meal. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Uvita and the whole of Costa Rica . Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
