River Lodge

My partner and I stayed nearly 3 weeks at the river lodge and it was perhaps the highlight of our trip. While the activities around the area were lovely and full of adventure, our casita here was the perfect place to rest and integrate our trip. We were able to stay in some days, using the kitchen to cook for ourselves, do yoga on the balcony in the morning, or walk down to the river below for a soak in the cool river water during the hot heat of the day. The casita was clean and sleek in its modern architectural style while preserving the sense of being in nature; the local birds coming right into the trees behind, the melodic sounds of the river flowing over rock down below. A perfect balance of privacy and proximity to the town just a short walk away. Highly recommended for any length of stay in Uvita.

Our stay at this river lodge in Uvita was honestly one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a private jungle retreat. The location is absolutely perfect. Peaceful, surrounded by nature, yet just minutes from the beach, restaurants, and Marino Ballena National Park. The lodge itself was spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. The open-air concept blended perfectly with the surroundings while still feeling private and secure. You truly feel immersed in Costa Rica’s beauty. It’s the kind of place where you can completely disconnect and relax. The hosts were exceptional, responsive, helpful, and genuinely kind. They gave great local recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. If you’re staying in Uvita and want something unique, peaceful, and memorable, this is it. We would come back without hesitation.

We’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnbs over the years, and I’ll be the first to admit my standards are high. This place didn’t just meet them, it exceeded them. Oldrich was an outstanding host. From start to finish, he made sure we were comfortable, well informed, and able to make the most of our time. Everything was exactly as promised and thoughtfully taken care of. This is hands down our favorite stay in Costa Rica so far, and we genuinely feel like we made a friend for life. Thank you for an amazing stay.
