We had dinner here after a thorough search for some typical Soda food in Uvita. We ordered a vegetarian casado, a chicken empanada, and a bean empanada and they were all fresh, flavorful and excellent. In fact it was the best casado I've had in my 8 days in Costa Rica by far! Every element was flavorful, the food was fresh, and the service was great at this local family-run Soda. We loved it so much we came back the next night for dinner and got the arroz con pollo, which was great as well. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous but not too big. Best to walk here, not easy to park on this mostly residential street.

The food is spectacular and you can taste the authentic, homemade flavors of Costa Rica. Without a doubt, the best discovery in Uvita. I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there every day of my stay. I tried everything: gallo pinto (a must), casados, meat, fish, and empanadas that are on another level. Unbeatable value for money in the area.
