Terrazas De Ballena

Terrazas de ballena is under new ownership as of 2021 and it is amazing! The layout of the grounds, including new buildings, is spectacular. The architecture is beautiful and well planned with stunning views of the ocean. There are two waterfalls on the property and a lovely pool with a view of the ocean in the distance. Most of the units have an open air kitchen and living area. It’s incredible to be in these during a rainstorm, when you are surrounded by all of the jungle sounds right outside. The bedroom where we stayed had a king sized bed with a wall of windows facing the rainforest, so gorgeous! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bedding high quality. The owners could not be kinder and more attentive to details. We had everything we needed during our stay, even a private washer and dryer. The location is ideal, as you can visit many beaches, national parks, coffee plantations, waterfalls and local markets. Wi-fi works great so it was easy to get work done when needed. This place is paradise!

Terrazas de Ballena - this a completely renovated vacation home in Uvita. It can be booked through Vacasa and it is absolutely STUNNING! The photos on Vacasa look stunning, and even better upon our arrival. This home takes your breath away the second you walk in. With 2 beautiful bedrooms (queens in both) and a separate BBQ area, the pinnacle is the main kitchen and eating area that is completely open, sheltered and the views of the ocean are amazing. The entire home is new in 2023 as are all furnishing. The property is gated, and the pool is amazing. There is also a waterfall just a few minutes away that includes a small secluded swim area adjacent to the property (we did not use the waterfall pool as it’s the end of rainy season so the water was not clear). We came with another couple and the max stay is 4 people.

Absolutely BREATHTAKING view of the sunsetting over the pacific from our balcony. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts were great. We took full advantage of the kitchenette and made most of our meals there during our stay, but wouldnt recomment it for those overly queasy about ants (pretty unavoidable in the tropics). My two suggestions would be: add a privacy barrier between the two balconys that are on the same level; get an animal tamper proof garbage for the kitchenette. Listen to the other reviewers and do not attempt the drive without a 4x4.
