About
A tiny four-table restaurant up a dirt road in Uvita, run by a local husband and wife who cook with real creativity — fresh, vibrant plates spanning hearty meat dishes and vegetarian ones, a gluten-free brownie people rave about, and a passion fruit smoothie called the best non-alcoholic drink of a trip. The small room feels like private service, so reservations help. The only recurring note: the lighting runs bright.

Absolutely phenomenal. Perfect end to our vacation in Uvita, Costa Rica. This is the kind of food I would expect to pay top dollar for at the hottest spot in a downtown metropolitan city. Except it's in a quaint local neighborhood, up a dirt road, prepared by by a local husband and wife. The food was exceptional, mixing flavors in an inviting way leaving you ready to try another option when you come back the next time. Drinks fabulous alcoholic and non. Atmosphere awesome. The place has 4 tables I believe. Felt like we were getting private service. 1 Recommendation: similar to what another review said, lighting could be dimmed Will recommend this place to everyone I know stepping foot in Costa Rica.
Despite the inclement weather, we stumbled across Tribu, and it was a truly delightful experience. We were immediately welcomed by the restaurant's warm and inviting atmosphere. Our dining experience was exceptional, far exceeding expectations. The diverse menu suited all of us, offering everything from robust meat dishes to vegetarian options, all prepared with remarkable freshness and vibrant flavors. The delicious drink selections were also a perfect accompaniment. We found the quality and value to be outstanding, making for a truly memorable evening. We eagerly anticipate our next visit.
Amazing dining experience! Fresh, healthy, and delicious! The gluten free brownie was out of this world. Our sever was adorable (she may have been the owner) so happy and kind. Made sure to ask about any dietary restrictions we may have had. It’s a small dining room so I do recommend reservations for dinner. Ours was a party of 2 but there was a party of 8-10 at another table while we were there. We will definitely be back next year!!
