Tropical Beach Hotel, Restaurant & Bar

We had some problems with the ac but they helped us super quick and fixed it. Safely our stay was a bit disturbed by a group that was staying there with alot of rowdy kids in the pool and eating by crisps by the pool ect. Ohh and the water shut off s couple of times but that is normal in the area.

Overall, we did not have a good experience staying here. Before arrival, the owner gave us the option to pay via PayPal, cash, or credit card, clearly preferring cash. When we informed him four days before arrival that we would pay by credit card, the card machine suddenly “stopped working” and we were asked to pay in cash instead. We later heard from other guests that they experienced the same situation. We were also never able to park our car on the property, as parking works on a first-come, first-served basis and there are very limited parking spaces. Normally, we are quite flexible and not quick to complain. However, the main reason for writing this review is the very poor condition of the room. The walls were covered with visible mold, which is absolutely unacceptable and poses a serious health risk to guests. In the end, what seemed like a good deal turned out to be a poor choice.

This is the perfect place to stay in Uvita right next to the beach! DJs next-door on Thursdays. The breakfast I had was delicious and a good pasta with fish for dinner. The pool is great to offset the humidity! Super nice staff!
