About
Guide Anner is the heart of this outfit — fluent in English, endlessly knowledgeable about birds, and clearly in love with his job. The mangrove kayak tour is the standout, with kingfishers, herons, and kites, but he also runs a coffee-farm, tortilla-making, and waterfall day full of sloths and monkeys, plus ocean kayaking. Small and personal, often ending with fresh coconuts cut open in front of you.

We had several tours with Anner, his son, and the rest of the crew. We kayaked the Mangroves and also did a coffee farm/ tortilla making/ waterfall tour stopping several times to see sloths, monkeys, and a ton of birds. Anner is fluent in English, and really a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. The mangrove kayak tour is an absolute blast. I am a birder, and I was able to see 3 different species of kingfishers, along with kites, herons, etc. Highly recommend Uvita Salvaje!
Anner was an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable about the wildlife, and very easy going. We saw so many different birds I lost count. And Anner recognized all of them. Would definitely recommend!
Anner and Melvin were our tour guides for kayaking and exploring the mangroves. They were knowledgeable, kept us safe, and have enthusiastic passion for sharing Uvita with guests. You can tell that Anner loves his job, as it shines through with everything he does. Overall, a very fun tour and a great way to explore the beautiful outdoors of Costa Rica. Pura Vida!
