Uvita Surf Camp

My two and a half week stay at Gabriel and Verena's surf camp was absolutely perfect. The accommodations were wonderful, walking distance to the beach, and guarded by the two sweetest resident dogs. The hosts provided great suggestions and were just lovely to spend time with and welcomed my friend and I with open arms. I cannot recommend staying here enough for a true surf town vibe with excellent food options, board rentals, and the most relaxing time.

Gabriel and Verena have created something really special with Uvita Surf Camp, and we felt so well cared for during our time with them. We stayed for a week and could’ve happily stayed far, far longer. The location cannot be beat. The outdoor kitchen area, complete with citronella candles and incense for buggy days (which were relatively rare during dry season), was so fun and easy to cook in, and we found ourselves relaxing for hours in the shade watching birds and listening for howler monkeys. The room was just what we needed (aka reliable AC, a comfortable bed, and a clean bathroom). We also made use of the beach shower daily! We’d also highly recommend taking a surf lesson with them! And petting their amazing and friendly dogs - Coco and Balu - as often as possible.

Five stars all around. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Uvita Surf Camp. Gabriel and Verena are great hosts, very kind and gave us useful tips on local gastronomy. They made us feel right at home. The rooms are very clean and tidy, and there’s a little kitchen outside where we cooked when we ate in. We will definitely come back to this place.
