About
A brewpub in Uvita pouring craft beer made in-house — the Apex and the darker brews earn real praise — from a brewmaster with a long résumé. The Whale Tail ceviche is the food to order, and the backyard is a relaxed place for a cold one after a hike. Come for the beer first: the burgers and bar food draw mixed reviews, and service can lag when it's busy.

Start with the positives. The Staff was friendly and easy to get along with. The French fries are good. Unfortunately the burgers we got were really bad and expensive. $20 for a smash burger. Supposed to have caramelized onions and other goodies. This burger was a hockey puck. Raw onions. No flavor. The reviews showed people really liking the burgers but in my experience it was an extremely overpriced burger that was not good. I really don’t mind spending money on good food but nothing annoys me more than paying premium price for sub par food.
We came here during the Super Bowl because they were running a wing and draft beer special — order wings and get a free draft beer. I tried the Apex beer and it was amazing. Honestly, one was enough to get me tipsy, so I was excited to order the garlic parmesan wings to go with it. Unfortunately, it took about an hour for the wings to come out, and when they finally arrived, they seemed completely wrong. They were just plain, unsalted wings with a side of oil? I didn’t try to flag anyone down since it was extremely busy and the staff seemed overwhelmed trying to handle the crowd. I gave them a try anyway, but they were very bland, and the “dip” tasted like straight oil with no flavor. The atmosphere was enjoyable earlier on, but once it got busy, things felt disorganized. The TVs weren’t synchronized, some were behind, and others didn’t seem connected at all, which made it hard to follow the game. Service became difficult to get, and we ended up leaving before the game finished. The beer and initial atmosphere were highlights, but the food and service unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations during such a big event.
