About
A wooden beach house right on the sand in Drake Bay, with the ocean out front and jungle all around. Guests describe it as basic but clean and comfortable — this is about falling asleep to the waves, not resort luxury, and there's no A/C or wifi (the restaurant next door has wifi). The hammock gets special mention, and swimming out front is good. Reviewers consistently praise the hosts: quick, clear communication, help booking tours and transport, and one couple was even taken spearfishing and cooked the catch together afterward. A short walk from town, so you get the quiet beach and easy access to Agujitas.

Fabulous beach house, perfect location. Basic accommodation, but clean, comfortable and with all the amenities needed. Great price, quick and clear communication with host. Thoroughly recommend.
I had an unforgettable stay in Bahía Drake, and I can’t recommend this beach cabin enough. From the beginning, Laura was a fantastic host, super communicative and supportive throughout the entire trip. She helped me immensely with information about local tour agencies and transportation, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Bahía Drake is savage in the best way, raw, wild, and real. The cabin reflects that spirit too. It’s not about luxury or A/C, it’s about immersing yourself in nature. This place is for true adventurers and animal lovers, not for those expecting a resort experience. You’ll be living in sync with the changing weather, the jungle, and its rhythms. That’s exactly why 2.5% of the planet’s biodiversity is found here. The locals are incredible, genuinely kind people with a “Pura Vida” attitude who are happy to help with anything. The woman who took care of the cleaning is such a warm and personable soul it was lovely having her around. The prices in town were a pleasant surprise, very fair, with no tourist markups. Bahía Drake feels like a place made for locals, and I felt completely at home. The cabin is the perfect spot to reconnect with nature. Your neighbors here? Scarlet macaws (Lapas Rojas), monkeys swinging in the trees, and an orchestra of frogs, birds, and reptiles right outside your porch. Just sitting and observing, I spotted at least five different species each day. Corcovado is a must, don’t miss the night walks, vibrant snorkeling spots, and lush trekking trails that double as the perfect morning workout. In a nutshell, if you’re adventurous, open-minded, and eager to be surrounded by raw beauty, this place is a must-visit. Let go of luxury comfort, embrace the wild, and nature will absolutely surprise you. The sunsets alone are magical, but the entire experience is something you’ll carry with you forever.
Very nice beach house completely made out of wood and surrounded by the jungle. We immediately felt at home. The beach and ocean are right in front of you, and you are not far from the town. So you get the best of both worlds. Swimming there is great and the hammock is a major bonus ;) We enjoyed the peacefulness of this place a lot and wish to come back one day!
