Cabinas El Mirador Lodge

Had a great 3 night stay here on my recent visit to Costa Rica with my 6 family members. We visited during the quiet season and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Our rooms had absolutely stunning views of Drake Bay and had some nearby trees where we saw an family of monkeys one day, and we climbed to the top deck to watch the sunset on our last evening (would highly recommend this!!) As I had seen on other reviews, we did have to climb a bit to get to our rooms, but that wasn’t a problem for us (and the hill made the views possible). Our rooms had everything we needed, the owner was very accommodating and helped us in all our needs, and we were an easy walk away from the beach and the town. I would definitely bring bug spray for the entire area of Drake Bay but no problems otherwise. I would stay here again!

I had a superb stay at the end of October 2023 in the middle of the low season. Magnificent place in the middle of the vegetation, the wooden bungalows are arranged so that you feel isolated from everything. Not very far from the village center, this sloping place is worth it and will offer you a magnificent view of the bay. I was able to see, sitting on my terrace, many animals: groups of monkeys less than 10m away, flights of macaws, toucans, lizards and various birds… Clean room and bathroom with everything you need, hearty breakfasts in a spacious common room, with an incredible view. Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Thank you for your welcome !
