Casa Horizontes Corcovado

We stayed at Casa Horizontes for 5 nights with a group of 6 adults and have nothing but good things to say about it. The location is excellent, right in the middle of Drake Bay and close to the ocean, with the standout feature being the views. You can see the entire bay from here and it's stunning. The grounds are also very well kept and beautiful, attracting countless photogenic creatures. The accommodations are simple, clean, have excellent air conditioning, and are fairly priced, which is exactly what we were looking for. You really couldn't ask for a better home base for exploring the jungle. I have to give a huge shout out to the staff, and in particular Yami. She is one of the kindest people I've ever met while traveling and a perfect example of that warm, empathetic tica hospitality that you read about. We had a serious issue with our Corcovado tour resulting in them cancelling on us last minute and not giving a refund. Yami spent a lot of time talking with us and understanding what happened, and ultimately connected us with replacement activities. Her tour recommendations turned out to be amazing, making Yami the true hero of our trip. You can trust that Yami, her husband, and the whole staff will take care of you in Drake Bay.

Very pleasant place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the view from the breakfast area is spectacular. We saw a steady stream of colorful birds while we ate. The only drawback was the steep hill to climb up from Drake Bay, but they're in the process of paving the road so they can more easily drive guests up the hill.

Spacious independent house on a hill. Kitchen, bathroom, sleeping room and terrace. A bit difficult to access with a car, very steep and curved road. You can park your car save next to the school. Clean house, daily serviced, with a spacious balcony. Possible to have breakfast in the main house. Numberous of restaurants within walking distance. Very nice host, they help you to move your luggage. A pitty that the terrace sea side view is blocked by bushes and trees. All activities are departing from the beach, 3 min walk.
