Spacious all-wood cabins in the rainforest outside Drake Bay, each with a private bathroom and a balcony or terrace looking into the jungle. Guests report watching birds, monkeys, and butterflies right from the garden, and appreciate being away from the bustle while staying close to the bay. Host Erickson and family come up again and again as kind, helpful, and generous with tour tips and bookings; several reviewers say the meals were consistently delicious. There's a shared kitchen if you'd rather cook. One early guest found things rough around the edges, but recent stays describe clean, charmingly furnished cabins and one of the best stops of their whole trip.

Not expensive, but you get what you pay for. We may have been the first real guests ever. As we were pulling up to our unit, a woman was running to it with a roll of toilet paper and "fresh" (hopefully) linen. Bathroom is open to the outside with bugs on the floor and ceiling. Toilet was clean, at least from a human waste standpoint. A/C in the bedroom worked well. Towels looked kinda gross. There was a German shepherd that slept on our porch all night. Friendly fellow. The outlets in the lodge were, um, on the ceiling. Not incredibly useful. Proprietor was friendly. Not bad place per se, but there's certainly more comfortable offerings in the area.

We had one of the best stays of our entire trip here. The cabins are spacious, made entirely of wood, and charmingly furnished. Each cabin has a bathroom and a balcony. They are located in the heart of the rainforest, and you can observe birds, monkeys, and butterflies in the garden. The two hosts are incredibly kind, polite, helpful, and dedicated. They provide excellent tips for excursions and help organize tours. You can tell how much work and love they put into their project. The food was always delicious. We felt completely at home and highly recommend staying here!
