About
An all-inclusive beachfront resort between Drake Bay and Corcovado, reached by boat, with only nine villas — reviewers note staff learn every guest's name since the property holds around twenty people at most. The handcrafted wooden cabins with hardwood floors, air conditioning, and private decks face jungle rather than neighbors. Three chef-prepared meals a day draw consistent praise, including from a vegan guest whose plates were happily accommodated. Wildlife shows up on the grounds — toucans, macaws, coatis, sloths, monkeys on the path to the restaurant — and the Rio Claro waterfall tour and night tours get repeat recommendations, with guide Anthony named. Guests mention Henri, Alonso, and others by name as part of what makes the stay. There is an infinity pool with service.

Our family has stayed at multiple great resorts, but this is easily one of our favorites. From booking with Summer to our final lunch at Copa, the service and genuine kindness were unmatched. Combined with the stunning, remote location, it truly feels like paradise. The rooms perfectly blend luxury with a cozy feel, and the AC was amazing after humid hikes. Waking up to ocean views was incredible. We spotted tons of wildlife on-site (toucans, macaws, coatis, and sloths!), and our guided tours with Anthony were a highlight—especially the Rio Claro tour. Food was excellent and varied over our 4-night stay, but it’s the staff that makes this place magic. The entire team treats you like family. Special thanks to Henri for the Spanish lessons and the great conversations!
This is a truly exceptional place. If you value nature, delicious food, friendly people, excellent tours, and breathtaking views, I highly recommend booking now. We rented a two-bedroom, two-story villa for our group of four, including our two daughters (12 and 10 years old). We all loved it.We spent our days doing tons of fun stuff – going on tours (all the tours are excellent and the river boat tour was our favorite because we are bird nerds), playing volleyball on the beach, chilling by the pool, or strolling around the beautiful grounds and trails. My husband and I loved going birdwatching – we did it from pretty much everywhere on the property! The girls spent time swimming in the pool while we lounged and enjoyed pool service. My camera was frequently in my hands, as there's always something to capture. The monkeys would swing by and say hello while on our way to the restaurant. It was the best vacation we've ever had, and it will be difficult to top, especially as we continue to travel.Shout out to Daniel and the entire crew that make your stay absolutely the best. Till next time! **While I wouldn't bring young children here (My preference), our girls were the perfect age. There were other children of a similar age, and they would play together before dinner, as they have a good selection of games including giant UNO.
Copa De Arbol was 6 out of 5 stars! An 11 out of 10! I can't begin to describe how wonderful this place is and it all starts with the amazing staff and service! From the moment you arrive on the beach by boat you are greeted warmly and taken to the open air front desk for checkin and an overview of your week and how everything works at the resort. From there, all the staff immediately knows your names and are there to take care of anything you need. There is no need to give room numbers or names as Copa De Arbol only serves like a max of 20 guests. The cabins are beautifully crafted, spacious, and private with gorgeous hardwood floors. You don't see other people from your decks - only beautiful jungle. The 3 meals a day were beyond expectations! Clearly crafted and presented by a chef each day. Lots of variety and an elegant open air restaurant feel - being all inclusive I had much lower expectations. The best part about the meals besides the great food is the restaurant service and staff. So warm and friendly and accommodating about everything!
