Finca Maresia

We spent 3 nights at this amazing location and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are excellent and give you the feeling of being right in the middle of the jungle. The surroundings are full of birds and other wildlife, which made the experience even more special. The owners are very friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The food and drink service is also great value and everything was very enjoyable. This was the perfect base for our visits to Corcovado National Park and Isla del Caño. Overall, a fantastic place to stay if you’re exploring this part of Costa Rica.

This is one of those really special places you never forget. I stayed here for four nights, including Christmas, as a solo traveler. From the moment I arrived I felt like I was with family. The property is stunning, much prettier than the photos suggest. Every night everyone has dinner together at one big table, with everyone mingling and talking to each other. This fosters an environment where you really connect with the other guests and end up stopping to chat anytime you see them in the common areas. Johnny is a really fantastic host who always had everything organized for you each day (breakfast time, departure time, transport to and from tours, tour bookings) so you don’t have to think about anything. I loved going out and doing tours each day (so many amazing things to do in Drake Bay) but was always so happy to come back here to chat with others about their activities before spending the afternoon lazily relaxing in my hammock with an incredible and private view. The hotel has everything you need, including well priced beers, wine, soft drinks and snacks on an honor system. The food is also incredible. If I ever come back to Drake Bay I will definitely be staying here. Thanks to Johnny and the whole staff for a magical stay!

Tremendous value, service, and property. Emilio and Johnny are so kind and have everything you need here. The property is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. Of the four different places my wife and I stayed on our trip, this had one of the (if not the most) comfortable bed to me. I especially liked the exposed bathroom setup that lots of eco lodges do, but this one was really cool. I also liked the self-service for drinks. You don't have to wait around for someone to get you something. Want a beer or soda, grab it and mark it down on your own room card on the front counter. It'll all get tallied at the end. Wished we could have stayed longer but room availability and a flight delay caused it to be a short stay. Definitely would stay here again and recommend!
