A bayside hotel about 250 meters southeast of the Agujitas river, with spacious, clean rooms — some with air conditioning and beachfront-view porches — that reviewers repeatedly call the best value they found in town. Know before you go: there are a lot of steps (one guest counted 270 to their room), you park in town and cross a foot bridge, and staff haul luggage up by ATV. Carlos and Greg both get named for smoothly booking tours and transport; one family raves about their Corcovado guide, Rolando, who was pointing out animals to the younger guides. Claudio's restaurant on the premises serves the included breakfast plus lunch and dinner, and the hotel offers diving courses. Right on the main hiking trail, a short walk from the village square.

Loved Hotel Jinetes de Osa! We stayed here for 4 nights. It was affordable for the location with great amenities and felt private while still very convenient. Our room had air conditioning, a quiet shared porch and a lovely beachfront view. Carlos was very accommodating in booking all of our tours upon our arrival as well as transport to and from the hotel (we took a taxi to Drake Bay airport). We did the snorkeling tour, mangrove tour, and Corcovado tour. Could not recommend more!
My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Yes, there are a lot of steps, but they haul your luggage to your room on an ATV for you. The biggest issue for most will be that you have to park in town about 300 yards away and walk across a foot bridge to get to the hotel, but aside from a little extra planning, this wasn't a big deal. It kind of made the resort feel like an exciting off the beaten track tree fort of something to have it be a little harder than usual to get to the hotel. My review factors in the price, which was much cheaper than anything else we found in town. I'm sure there are other resorts that are much nicer, but we found this resort to be fairly nice, clean, and professionally staffed. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer.
An amazing hotel that presents a variety of amazing attractions. The staff is amazingly high quality, patient and kind. The restaurant in the hotel is wonderful and serves amazing and delicious food. The view in the hotel is amazing. The rooms are beautiful, wonderful and comfortable.
