About
True to its name, this Drake Bay spot sits up a ramp and a few flights of steps — reviewers agree the climb is the price of one of the best views across the bay, especially as the sky changes at sunset. The shrimp spaghetti, ceviche with plantain chips, vegetarian burrito, and full-strength classic-recipe cocktails all get called out, and one diner declared the passion fruit ice cream worth the trip alone (a small portion feeds two). Portions and prices are called fair, and the chef and waitress serve with warm smiles. Bring cash — one reviewer doubts cards are accepted. Closed Mondays; open 1pm to 8:30pm otherwise.

Great place for a delicious bite to eat. It takes a hike to get to the restaurant but it is worth it. I had the shrimp spaghetti and it was amazing. Even better was the passion fruit ice cream which was to die for. The small portion was enough for two
The Lookout is honestly some of the best food we had in Costa Rica, so much so that we ended up going most days we were in Drake Bay. The food is super fresh and tasty (and very good portions), and the staff super friendly and helpful - would especially recommend it for watching the sunset!
Worth the walk. Fabulous sunset and dinner two nights ago. The fish was cooked really well, food and drinks priced well and such warm smiles from the chef and lovely waitress. We ate just near by the next night and regretted it as was no where near as good and was a lot pricier. Highly recommend
