Pacheco Tours

The floating tour was one of the most enjoyable activities of my entire trip. Carlos, the guide, has a heart of gold and an incredible wealth of knowledge. The activity itself is very unique, combining some physical effort while hiking with the relaxing experience of floating down the river. The scenery is stunning, and the whole experience feels authentic, special, and very well organized. Even the lunch at the end was delicious and satisfying. In short, don't miss this tour! One small suggestion: make sure to bring plenty of water. It's a surprisingly thirsty activity, and in my opinion, one bottle is not enough. It would also be helpful if guests were encouraged in advance to bring more water with them.

The best snorkel and lunch tour ever! Brandon was a wonderful guide, showing us numerous fish, a shark and a huge sting ray. We had sweet coconut water fresh from the coconut on his grandfather’s land, then walked to the family restaurant owned by his mother’s for a delicious traditional lunch. Brandon even performed a song in Spanish he’d written while we ate. He’s very talented. :) AND because of luck and the tide, we got a bonus swim in a fresh water area with herons and lizards watching from the trees. Pacheco tours is a local family small business worth supporting!

We did both the Corcovado day tour (with guide Eric) and Cani islands snorkeling tour (with guide Johny). Both were excellent. In Corcovado we saw tapir, lots of monkeys and ant eaters. Very easy hike, flat dirt path, but it’s a long morning. The Snorkeling tour was excellent and the highlights were turkeys, stingrays and a huge manta Ray! The final beach stop probably wasn’t necessary, I was ready to go back for pizza lunch.
