Our stay at Playa Ganadito Ecolodge in Drake Bay was the highlight of our Costa Rica Trip. The beach in front of the lodge is stunning and feels incredibly secluded we were almost always alone, especially during the beautiful sunsets. They also lend out canoes for free, so you can explore the peaceful lagoon behind the property, which was such a unique and memorable experience. And we loved spending time with their two wonderful dogs Loba and Bobby, who made our stay even more special. The home-cooked dinners were absolutely delicious and prepared with so much care. The family’s hospitality is outstanding, they make you feel genuinely welcome and completely at home. The hosts organized everything for us perfectly, including a tour to Corcovado National Park and an amazing diving trip to Caño Island. It couldn’t have been easier or better arranged. THANK YOU 🩷

I absolutely loved the authenticity and remoteness of this place. The beach felt completely private, and it was easy to truly disconnect and immerse myself in nature. During my stay, I saw a good amount of wildlife, which made the experience even more special. Aaron and Nicole are wonderful hosts who genuinely go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Every morning, they prepared a delicious breakfast, and as a solo traveler, I had many meaningful conversations with them. By the end of my stay, it truly felt like I had made friends. I was deeply touched by their lifestyle, their passion for the place, and the care they put into everything they do. On my last day, Aaron went fishing and prepared the most delicious red snapper and ceviche, and before I left, they made authentic gallo pinto - such a special and thoughtful way to end my stay. Their dogs, Loba and Bobby, are absolutely adorable! I was also inspired by their work with baby turtle rescue. I was incredibly lucky to witness a nest hatching on my last day and to be part of the release process - an experience I will never forget. This place is beautiful, authentic, and full of heart. I would definitely say this stay was the highlight of my time in Costa Rica, and I will absolutely be coming back.

Aaron, Ima and Gustavo are amazing hosts! The place is cool and in the middle of the jungle, we walked in the desert beach and when we got back they serve us fresh coconut water. They serve breakfast and book our tours what is also great. While there we got the luck to see the turtles hatching and being release, was an experience we will never forget. The cabins are clean and comfortable. If you like to be in contact with nature I recommend this place.
