Beachfront lodge in Agujitas, right by the spot where boats pick up passengers for whale watching and island tours, with landscaped grounds full of birds and macaws flying overhead. It sits away from the road, so nights are quiet, and town restaurants and shops are a short walk up the driveway. Rooms have effective air conditioning, welcome in the humidity, and housekeeping changes sheets and towels daily, though cheaper rooms are simple, with little storage; upper rooms trade a long climb of steps for ocean views. Some guests stay with meals included, and breakfast is served early enough for tour departures. Reviewers who booked Caño Island snorkeling and overnight Corcovado tours through the lodge rated the guides highly.

I liked this place. I had the superior room at the top so big enough for one person also included AC. You have to climb the steps but in the end you can’t have everything. People were helpful as always. Food was all included so couldn’t really get hungry after. Alexis was helpful even though his english wasn’t great. The location is outside the beach so it’s nice to relax after excursions. Some hotels are far out, I am glad I didn’t get that problem.
This hotel is truly stunning. First let’s talk about THE VIEWS. It is so beautiful here by the beach and when walking from room to restaurant or to the beach you are surrounded by lush tropical paradise. Macaws fly all the time ahead! The service and staff is amazing, and the restaurant server lady I had was easily, no doubt, the kindest and most welcoming server I have met in my life. The rooms are good, the cheap ones simple but they work for sleeping, but the housekeeping changes sheets and towels daily which is super nice!
We didn't stay here, but we did book a couple tours through here, the Caño Island snorkeling tour and the overnight Corcovado tour. Both of them were INCREDIBLE, the guides were so sweet and super helpful. The tour prices for what you get to do and see are beyond worth it. We had an amazing time, thank you!
