Set a bit back from the main strip in Drake Bay, this chef-run restaurant keeps getting called underrated by reviewers. The fresh tuna in passion fruit sauce is the dish people mention most — one diner found it nearly half what they paid in Dominical — alongside salmon in blackberry sauce, brownie with ice cream, cheesecake, and a flan one guest liked too much to photograph. The same family runs the attached bakery, with bread and pastries baked fresh daily. The balcony has wildlife in view, and staff keep binoculars and a bird list on hand; one repeat visitor names Sergio for the warm welcome. Open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., with breakfast, cocktails, reservations, and takeout.

Our favourite place to hang out in Drake Bay. Food is excellent - in particular, we would recommend the fresh tuna in passionfruit sauce, salmon in blackberry sauce, brownie with ice cream and cheesecake. The attached bakery also has good bread and bakes made fresh daily. We loved this slice of sponge cake with some powder on it (see photo). All of the staff and the chef are exceptionally warm and friendly. Sergio (?) always made us feel so welcome. They have binoculars and a bird list and a great lookout for wildlife spotting too. We came multiple times while staying in Drake Bay and it should be a stop on your list too!

Great restaurant. One to the best two in Drake Bay. Run by the family that also run the bakery. Food is imaginative and well presented - more sophisticated than many others in town. It's a bit quiet, maybe because it's a bit further back than most other restaurants. But definitely worth a visit. Very friendly.

Overall a lovely place to go. We went a few times for coffee and a cake. The coffee is not the best and they seemed a little confused regarding how to make the coffee. The pastries/cakes are nice but we would have preferred a better sweet selection. The restaurant is a nice setting with plenty of wildlife visible from the balcony but it can get quite hot. Would recommend a visit though as overall a nice experience.
