About
Part restaurant, part axe-throwing hall, run by owner Jose Andrés, whose warmth is the first thing travelers mention—he'll chat, share about the place, and set you up to throw. The food backs it up, with the wings and Sopa Azteca called out, plus Jenga, board games, and karaoke nights. A genuinely fun evening in Liberia.

We stayed at the Best Western in Liberia the night before we flew home. We looked for a place to eat, and found Oso Grande on google! It was walking distance, and are we ever glad we found it! Our server was great with decent English and we even met the owner! This was our first axe throwing experience which we all enjoyed, followed by a wicked meal! Pleasantly surprised at all of the above. It was also Karaoke night and there was some amazing talent entertaining the crowd. I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
The food was great, recommend the wings and Soup Azteca was the best we’ve had! Oso Grande was a fun place to have a meal with Jenga and other games, and of course axe throwing to finish off the evening. Staff were amazing and super friendly. Highly recommend!
Stumbled in here on accident, but was absolutely great. The owner was very warm and accomidating. He speaks English well and forgives my terribly broken spanish. The food was delicious. Their axe selection is excellent for all strength levels and their axe boards were good condition. We Will be back next time I am in Liberia.
