About
A big, well-used Liberia supermarket with a cafeteria that regulars rate for its hot meal plates and breakfasts, set in a plaza with little shops, banks, and clean restrooms to browse around. Aisles are wide and easy to shop. Worth knowing it's stocked Costa Rican–style, so meat and produce aren't always chilled the way North American shoppers expect.

Great supermarket. I had a delicious hot meal plate.
This is not your typical American grocery store. This was literally the first place I went in Costa Rica and was shocked that it wasn’t air conditioned, and so was skeptical of purchasing any meat. I later learned almost nothing is air conditioned in Costa Rica so this may just be how food is stored. Anyway thing also weren’t in any order. I just wanted a couple bottles of wine and some cheese and crackers for when we got to the air bnb and kept finding these things all over the store, not all together. Again this might be how grocery stores are in Costa Rica so this review is really more for American tourists. You are probably better off just going to the local bodega near your rental than a “big” grocery store.
