About
A Liberia chicken spot whose actual chicken gets honest praise—reviewers say the social-media photos don't oversell it. Where opinions split is the sides and value: several found the potatoes and sides under-salted and the prices a touch high. Come for the chicken itself, and set expectations for the rest.

Nice place
The chicken is good; the advertising on social media isn't misleading, it really is good. However, there are several things they could consider for improvement. The food here is expensive. How is it possible that after a bill of over 20,000 colones they don't give you a free sauce? Use some common sense, please; that's nothing compared to a bill like that. The sides are delicious, but the potatoes could be much better. They have absolutely no salt; literally, without sauce, they'd taste like nothing. I think that's something to consider.
Folks, if you're here in Liberia, Costa Rica, as a tourist, look for somewhere other than Pollo Salitral. The place is unhygienic. I ordered a hamburger and fries to go. I waited a while for my order to arrive, and when it did, they didn't serve it as a takeout meal. I told them it was a takeout order, and the cook started transferring and handling it without gloves. I ordered a hamburger and fries to go. After a long wait, they brought me the food as if I were eating it in. I told them I had ordered it to go. They took the fries and the hamburger without gloves and put them in a to-go container. The place doesn't look very hygienic.
