A simple Liberia soda that reviewers repeatedly call the best casado of their whole Costa Rica trip, the pollo empanizado (fried chicken) and steak casados especially. The fish in garlic and the cold natural juices, tamarind, pineapple, carrot, get their own praise, prices are honest with no tourist gimmicks, and the ladies running it are warm.

The place is simple, but it was the best casado I had during my trip to Costa Rica! I ordered the pollo casado and the flavors were amazing. Great value for money!
We loved Soda Esperanza I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Liberia. The food was delicious and affordable and the bedidas frías were exceptional! Don't miss this gem!
